GAZ Energy, as part of the Bochemie Group, has been awarded the Responsible Care certificate (Responsible Care in the Chemical Industry). The official award ceremony took place on October 22, 2026, at the Evening with Czech Chemistry held at Hotel International in Prague.
The Responsible Care program is a voluntary global chemical industry initiative aimed at promoting responsible business practices and continuous improvement in safety, health, and environmental performance. For GAZ Energy, this certification confirms that these principles—together with risk prevention and a responsible approach to industrial operations—are a vital part of its business strategy and long-term sustainable development.
An International Initiative with European Reach
Responsible Care was established in Canada in 1985 and gradually expanded worldwide. In the Czech Republic, the program is governed by the Association of Chemical Industry of the Czech Republic, which endorsed its principles in 1994.
A key role at the international level is played by the European Chemical Industry Council (CEFIC). CEFIC coordinates the implementation of the program across Europe, supports its harmonized application via national chemical associations, and provides companies with practical tools to assess and improve their safety, health, and environmental performance. At the global level, the initiative is coordinated by the International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA).
The award presented to GAZ Energy aligns with the chemical industry’s broader international commitment to safer, more responsible, and more sustainable operations.
