BMS Programmer

The BMS Programmer / Developer (Battery Management System) is a specialist responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and updating of software for battery management systems (BMS). The role contributes to ensuring the proper functionality, safety, and reliability of battery systems in accordance with technical requirements, standards, and specific product or project specifications.

Location: Frýdek-Místek (Baška), alternatively Bohumín.

Task

  • Collaborating on the development of control systems for battery energy storage systems, particularly BMS (Battery Management Systems)

  • Technically understanding equipment supplied by vendors (inverters, battery storage components, etc.)

  • Analysing equipment faults

  • Testing individual parts of control systems

  • Preparing technical documentation

  • Cooperating with other team members (design engineers, production, application engineers)

  • Cooperating with external suppliers

  • Travelling for business purposes, including abroad

Your profile

  • Education in electrical engineering / power engineering or information technology

  • Experience in software development within the .NET ecosystem, especially in C#, or experience with the development and management of BMS for battery energy storage systems

  • Orientation in electrical engineering / power engineering

  • Basic knowledge of communication protocols and device integration (e.g. Modbus, GOOSE, IEC 60870-5-104)

  • Communicative level of English (technical documentation, communication with international partners)

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Creativity and technical inventiveness

  • Attention to detail, responsibility, and motivation to develop in the field of innovative technologies

The following qualifications are considered an advantage

  • Professional electrical qualification §6 according to Government Regulation No. 194/2022 Coll. (former Decree 50/78 Coll., §6)

  • Experience with control systems

  • Knowledge of embedded systems programming

  • Experience with the GitLab version control system

  • Knowledge of battery energy storage technologies and inverters
